In this world we all need to be driven with the purpose of making our mark. We hear it all the time from our advisors, educators, and loved ones, an array of words that can often pass through your thoughts without much consideration, due to youth or even ignorance. Jordan Edwards was taken from this world before he could decide what his mark would, or even could be. The circumstances of his death could have easily made his mark one of tragedy. We will not allow that to be how Jordan is remembered. He was an excellent student, an athlete, a brother, and a son.. His mark will be one of opportunity, for a student athlete to become what time and events did not allow to Jordan. It is the duty of the scholarship recipient to carry on a legacy of hope in Jordan’s name, hope for a better, diverse tomorrow. With that being said, we will ask you to explain how you intend to fulfill our hope. What will be your mark in this world? Please include the reason you were drawn to apply for this particular scholarship.
